How did Web App Express help the world's largest home improvement specialty retailer improve customer service?

Web App Express built a custom web portal for a last mile trucking firm that is a delivery arm for this retailer in five northeastern states. The application lets the retailers' store personnel, its customers, vendors and our client view the up to the minute status of custom orders, on-line, at any time day or night.

When a customer places an order for kitchen cabinets at a store location in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut or Massachusetts, the cabinets are built and shipped to our client’s warehouse. They are then loaded onto a truck and delivered to the customer. The web portal built by Web App Express allows for real-time tracking of each order by the retailers' corporate office, store personnel, vendor and customer.

Our work for this client also included conversion of their entire Alpha Five warehouse operations system from version 1 to version 9, conversion of their database from dbf files to MySQL and the creation of a database interface to a hand held scanner system that allows for real-time tracking of all trucks, drivers and customer orders.

With all of their systems updated and their new web portal in place this client is poised for continued success in its relationship with this very substantial customer.
